1963 Van doğumlu. Ankara Üniversitesi Siyasal Bilgiler Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. Çeşitli işlerde çalıştıktan sonra antropoloji doktoru ve doçenti oldu. Halen Hacettepe Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi’nde öğretim üyesidir. Amargi dergisi ve Ayizi Yayınevi’nin editörlüğünü yapıyor.
