Author Description
Alan Jackson (1938-) is a poet.<br /><br />Jackson attended the Royal High School in Edinburgh (1952–56) and Edinburgh University (1956–59).<br /><br />Jackson's reading career began on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and in 1965 he established the annual Traverse Theatre poetry readings which were to become a platform for the Liverpool poets.
