I'm the President of the National Book Critics Circle and a contributing editor for the Yale Review. I teach creative writing at Rutgers University. My writing has also appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, The Paris Review, Tin House, and The Guardian. My graphic novel, OLIVIA TWIST, was published by Dark Horse in 2019.
